Our MDaaS program has been a real game changer in the marketplace since we launched it. The program really accounts for the complete lifecycle of both devices and services as they’re being rolled out to mobile users in the field. Think of all the headaches and gotchas that are involved with managing a large fleet of mobile users in the field.
MetTel really alleviates all that by launching MDaaS services. Everything from when you click to buy, or send us an API request for a new device, directly into our system or portal, activating the device on the right carrier–and we provide access to all three major networks in the US–to preparing the device and rolling it over the air, making sure it has the specific applications for the user that’s receiving the device, and then shipping it to the user complete and ready for use.
Meaning in many cases, putting a ruggedized case on it prior to shipping, and then shipping it to the user regardless of whether they’re office-based, home-based, or hybrid. So the user gets the device and is able to use it immediately.
And, in the case that they break a device, the program actually also includes an overnight emergency replacement with a new device, at absolutely no charge to the organization. All the user has to do when they get the new device: they turn it on, it provisions itself over the air, and it transfers the telephone number to the new device. They drop the old device in the same MetTel box that they got the new device in, affix the FedEx return label, and that device goes back to MetTel’s smart warehouse, where we repair or recycle the device after wiping all corporate data off of it.
